This is a little belated, but for those that have not noticed yet Dr Ross Ainsworth has decided to hang up the keyboard and focus on traveling the region and enjoying life on the beach in Bali.
It is my pleasure to have been asked to take over this blog and website, and I have been working hard over the last few months to scramble all of my contacts together to try and meet the same level of quality as Ross was providing.
For those that don’t know me, my name is Dr Michael Patching (“Patcho” to many). I am also an Australian veterinarian and have been based in Vietnam and Singapore for the last 8+ years. I initially moved to Vietnam with Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) before coming to Singapore with MLA in a wider regional role. For the last 2 years I have run my own businesses out of Singapore acting as a trade intermediary and solutions scout.
More on me and my businesses can be found at http://www.altafoodagri.com or LinedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/michael-patching-7bb05090/
My passion and mission is to get pre-slaughter stunning used across the world, and increase transparency and accountability of all aspects of the trade. I am more interested in building solutions and not interested in trading. But keen to support and connect those that are.
Most importantly I believe in community. And anyone out there that is keen to support me to share information in an open way – Price data, sales trends, legal changes, etc – please reach out to me (email@example.com) and I would love to find a way to help amplify your knowledge to a wider community.
Thank you and looking forward to sharing the blog with you all.
